Red Lion 708FXE2-SC-40 is an industrial managed Ethernet switch designed for robust and secure network management in demanding environments. It supports SNMP v1, v2, and v3 along with Web Browser Management for comprehensive control and monitoring. The switch features N-Ring Technology ensuring a rapid 30ms healing time for network recovery, N-Link Redundant Ring Technology for enhanced network reliability, and N-View Monitoring Technology for real-time network status. It is equipped with EtherNet/IP CIP Messaging for efficient network communication and offers web configuration for easy setup. The 708FXE2-SC-40 supports IGMP Auto Configuration, 802.1Q tag VLAN, Port VLAN, 802.1p QoS, Port QoS, Port Trunking, and Port Mirroring for advanced network management. It adheres to 802.1d, 802.1w, and 802.1D RSTP standards for network resilience and includes a DHCP Server with Option 82 Relay, Option 61, and IP Fallback for dynamic network configuration. The switch provides local port IP addressing, supports 802.1AB-2005 LLDP for device discovery, and ensures network security with MAC Address Based Filtering. It features configurable alarm output contact, Normally Open (NO) auxiliary contacts rated for 10-30Vdc, and includes 6 x RJ45 ports (10/100BaseTX) and 2 x Fiber optic SC connectors (single-mode, 100BaseFX) with a 40km rated optical fiber distance. The switch operates within a temperature range of -40 to +85°C, offers ESD and Surge protection on power inputs, and is housed in a metallic case suitable for DIN rail mounting. It is part of the N-Tron 700 series, designed for Ethernet networks with 8 ports.
